Need to Know

There are several variations to shorten or add a bit of length to this ride. Any time you cross a road is an opportunity to bail out (just head down until you get to a location you recognize).

Description

If you want to end the ride with a descent, then start at Seven Streams staging area (about two miles up Post Canyon Road #1400).

Head up Seven Streams to Family Man. Cross Riordan Hill Road and enter 8 Track. Follow 8 Track to the top and take a well deserved rest when you get to Riordan Hill Road. Head down Bad Motor Scooter (158) and cross Riordan Hill Road to continue on down GP (158) and Lower GP.

Ride up Spaghetti Factory #116 (steep climb just after crossing a bridge) to Post Canyon Road #1400. Cross the road and follow the trail to Mitchell Ridge. There's a bit of a mess of trail intersections through this stretch. Just follow the most obvious trail as it gently climbs and begins curving northward.

Once you're heading due north, watch for a short connector trail on the left that will put you onto Mitchell Ridge. Follow Mitchell Ridge back to your starting point.

Conditions pretty good. Stay off the section below Seven Springs parking - very sloppy.
