Description

Located above the Ready Mix concrete quarry in Mission Gorge, the Quarry Loop offers beginning riders an opportunity to step up their game. The loop is primarily wider-than-normal singletrack and contains patches of rolling rock gardens, rutted trail, and just enough elevation change to keep the cardio up.

There are some fantastic views of the Allied Gardens and San Carlos communities as riders traverse the southern edge of the trail.

It's an OK trail. The climb from West to East on the top part of this trail is fairly easy. The descent from the East-South is pretty steep and boring. There are some significant washouts that are built-up by timber steps, which is OK, but doesn't add to the fun. All in all, it's an OK trail. Maybe going COUNTER-clockwise is the preferred method and should be noted, but that right vertical quadrant would suck to climb. Dec 8, 2017
