“This is a Gravel Grinder Course best suited for Cross or Gravel Bike. MTB would work or road bike w/ chunky tires.”

Please go around any private lands that were used for the event. The last 1-2 miles would need a detour around the winery as there is a closed gate during non-event hours.
This is the course from a gravel grinder event that occurred in the spring of 2016 and 2017. It was supposed to have a bit more singletrack than a gravel bike could handle but due to rain the day before, the course got altered some. Some of the route may be on private land so you may need to find a way around if using this not during the actual event.
Need to Know
Again please don't use land on winery unless you have permission. Might get a better response if you let them know you want to park there because after your ride you would like to drink their wine/beer and order food. Otherwise, if blowing through the course please just go around the winery. Otherwise, you do come to the outskirts of Newark, DE and you can easily go up into town for food, drink, or one of two bike shops if needed.
Mainly doubletrack and road, some connectors being on private land. Please do not use the land at the winery at the beginning of the course and end of the course (last mile) unless you have permission from the winery. We do not want to jeopardize this event in the future (please just go around). Thanks.
