Family Friendly An easy and accessible trail that travels through several great parks. There are multiple trailheads and parking areas so you can make as long or as short of an outing as the kids can handle.

Description

This paved trail begins just to the south of Lorimer Park and travels south through Pennypack Park. This park is definitely a highlight and is one of Philadelphia's most beloved parks that offers several miles of unpaved trails for mountain bikers and equestrian riders.

From the park, the rail-trail offers a paved route all the way to the waterfront of the Delaware River. Along the way, you'll follow Pennypack Creek through rolling hills and curves.

To the north the Pennypack Trail - Montgomery County trail travels through Lorimer Park and continues to Huntingdon Valley.
