A difficult trail with great overlooks of the river and canyon.

Overview

Dogs: Leashed

Description

The trail travels above Spicewood Springs Creek along a ridgeline that provides excellent views of the spring's pools and waterfalls below.

From Lemons Ridge Pass, it descends down to the River Trail and park headquarters. There is still some climbing though. If you start from the River Trail, be prepared for a lot of technical climbing to reach Lemons Ridge Pass.

Note that this is the Spicewood Canyon Trail and not the nearby hiking-only Spicewood Springs Trail.
