While there are a number of fun sections on Rock Star, the trail is dominated by a large mandatory granite slab that perches on the side of the mountain. Check your comfort with the medium-sized rock-roll at the trail's entrance. If that's too much, don't proceed.
From there, a poppy table-top get things going before the singletrack wraps around a rocky outcropping and heads into the tech. There are a couple of possible lines when attacking the roll. The straightest options typically require more commitment at the top, but offer a cleaner exit. Fortunately the slab is pretty grippy (at least in the dry).
After the slab, the trail charges through a duffy run-out that feeds into a small drop. It's quite manageable as long as you didn't get kicked around too much higher up. The singletrack wraps up quickly by crossing the Summit Road
