Description

The Mud Creek Loop, although being mostly jeep trail, does have some singletrack as the trail passes through the more dense vegetation on the way back between the creek and the power lines. There is NO signage on this trail.

This park is only a few miles north of McAllister Park along Jones Maltsberger Road. It is also not nearly as busy with mostly hikers taking advantage of the area. Parking is limited.

This trail is managed by the San Antonio Parks and Rec and there are multiple jeep trails and singletrack trails that takes you along dry, rocky, creek beds that also include some good technical climbs through the trees. There is also singletrack that extends off of the north side of the loop that follows Mud Creek to the north. With all of that being said, the trails are a bit overgrown as they do not get much use. But, they are worth the trip if you are in the area.
