Description

This is the Horseshoe Trail segment that passes through Camp Mack. It starts at the Hammer Creek at Hwy 322 and climbs gently until it veers right at the convergence with Explorer Lodge Trail.

The climb to the intersection with Hilltop Road is a difficult rocky climb - not for the faint of heart or for those who dislike rocks. After the convergence with Hilltop Road, the difficulty lessens to intermediate, with an easy climb to Eagle Rock, and then a fun blast across the ridge and downhill to South Camp Road.

Again, a Strava segment exists from Eagle Rock to S. Camp Road. Blast across S. Camp road onto the Light Trail for a great segment!
