Description

As a stand alone addition to the Dale Ball trails, the southern "lollipop" section of La Piedra can be ridden as a fun loop that usually takes between 7-10 minutes.

In all, there are 20 switchbacks that take you down to a valley and then back up. The trail is smooth the whole way with little to no technical sections. It's a great place to practice riding switchbacks. The lollipop section should not be considered a black diamond trail like the rest of the La Piedra Trail as it is much easier.

Big thanks to those who donated their time, money and land to this effort. The La Piedra Trail is a great way to bridge the Dale Ball trails to the Santa Fe National Forest trails.
