Description

This trail starts at Colle di Telegrafo (Telegraph Hill) which is a popular hiking destination with a restaurant. Both the start and end of this trail are accessible by vehicle although I can't say anything about the availability of parking.

Alternatively, you can ride from the train station in La Spezia following the Alta Via di Cinque Terre (High Way of the Five Lands) ride in reverse although this is a significant climb. Regardless of how you get there, you should definitely ride the challenging singletrack AV5T Centrale if you have made it to Colle di Telegrafo.

From Colle di Telegrafo until the end of this segment in Campiglia, the trail is a forest road. Campiglia is the only town through which the Alta Via di Cinque Terre passes if you do not count the beginning (in Levanto) and end (Portovenere) of the trail.

This trail passes through a dense forest, but you can hope for an occasional view of the Cinque Terre (Five Lands) coastline and the Ligurian Sea below you.
