Open sunrise to sunset.
Overview
A casual loop that ties together the majority of trails at Lagoon Park. It's a good option to get out and enjoy the surrounding tree and ponds during a fun and easy pedal.
Description
From the south parking area, head north through the tree on the
Forest Road Trail. On the other side of the bridge, look for the start of the
Cross Country Trail on the left of the clearing. This singletrack flows casually for about three-quarters-of-a-mile before turning into a tight and twisty red clay section with a few berms and fun rollers mixed in.
Hang a left onto the
Forest Road Trail before crossing the paved road at the crosswalk. On the other side,
Oak Glen takes riders on a nice descent through the pines as it heads east toward two groves of trees near Highway 231. Complete the elongated figure-eight of
Piney Woods Loop and then start back toward the west.
Pretty soon, look for the paved Pond Trail on the left and follow it on a raised levee past the various ponds. As it rounds the dock, head left and pedal across the open field toward the tree line. Here, riders will find the
Creek Trail gently winding through the trees. Near the end, the singletrack gives-way to doubletrack before intersecting the
Forest Road Trail. Turn left to complete the ride and quickly arrive back at the parking area.
