Description

Major Tom is a large jump trail filled with gap jumps and advanced features. Although there are a few ride-arounds, the trail doesn't lend itself to rolling through.

The trail begins just past Ground Control and winds past a long optional log ride before turning downhill and getting to business with a choice of two drops.

The left option is the larger drop that feeds directly into a large gap. Sending the drop deep is probably not your best option, instead hit it smoothly with moderate speed and your momentum should carry you over the gap as long as you don't brake.

The right option takes you on the Major Tom Alternate for a one-to-two foot drop followed by an aggressive rock turn and a booter before connecting back to the trail.

The next two sections also allow you to choose your feature. First; you can choose to jump between two trees off of a skinny log-ramp, or hit the gap to the right.

Next; you can follow a ride-around bridge or hit the gap on the right. The rest of the trail is a series of large gaps and one 15-20 foot sender near the end. The linked nature of the features will require you to hit each of them in turn to carry enough speed to the next.
