Description

Briggs Creek starts near the Sam Brown Campground from an intersection with the Dutchy Creek trail. The route follows Briggs Creek, crossing it several times. Throughout the route you'll travel through meadows and past some good swimming holes. The trail also travels through some old harvest units and some old growth stands of forest.

The trail ends at Soldier Creek near Forest Road 4105-152. This road is accessed from the town of Selma off Highway 199 (Redwood Highway).

The area is rich with mining history as well as plenty of present-day activity. Near the middle of the route, you'll encounter the Courier Mine Historic Cabin Site.

The route can be combined with Dutchy Creek or Taylor Creek for longer point-to-point rides.

* Due the the number of creek crossings, the trail is best ridden in summer or early fall.
