China Creek begins with a climb from the intersection with Taylor Creek Trail. The grade is moderate at first up the creek drainage, eventually becoming steep as it gains the ridge.
The descent into Galice Creek has steeper grades and a series of switchbacks. The final part of the route is another climb to Forest Road 2402/S Fork Galice Creek Road.
Throughout the route, riders will encounter a number of mining operations, both past and present.
Moderately steep. Uneven terrain with small rocks or roots.
Sizable rocks & roots. Steep sections.
Steep. Some technical terrain and limited alternate lines.
Very steep. Technical terrain with no alternate lines.
