Overview

This featured ride uses three of the best trails in the area: Piedra de Descanso, Waterfall Descent, and River Rock Garden. Watch your speed on the descent as it can be full of loose river stones.

Description

This loop starts off the same as Cimarron Loop by heading up Avendia Mirador de los Àngeles. After a mile, the road will continue onto Piedra de Descanso as it gradually climbs further up the ridge.

At just over 2.5 miles (4.1 km), you'll reach the highest point. Look for the left-hand turn onto Waterfall Descent. Follow this trail as it bends back to the east.

Once you arrive at the intersection with Vaquita, stay to the right to continue down the River Rock Garden trail. This is a more technical descent with large stones that can be slick and challenging to navigate.

Make your final small climb before cruising the remaining 1.5 miles to Ave Las Uvas.
