Update

This is a variation to the Tahoe Rim Trail that can be added to make a loop.

Chris McNamara

Overview

From November - April this trail is usually covered in snow.

Description

Start at the end of Andria Drive at the Brautovich Park parking area. Head east up a very steep climb that eventually turns to a fun and occasionally sandy downhill.

Once you hit N. Benjamin, continue across the road and join the Tahoe Rim Trail: Spooner Summit - Heavenly. Head back north and either get back to the parking area by the Castle Rock Trail or extend the ride by going up another 1/2 mile and taking the next Rim Trail Connector back to Brautovich Park parking area.

Do this loop clockwise. Otherwise climbing the southwest corner of the loop is very sandy and steep. This is not the best quality riding, but does involve some awesome views and is an alternative to an out-and-back like the Bench Trail.
