Description

Trail is part of San Francisco Pass ride. The route can be ridden going up from Trinidad, or downhill from Sugarite Canyon State Park (which is the most fun). Note that there is no parking near the CR22/CR85.5 junction.

Though most of the trail is uphill, there is some very steep climbing near the summit (9000')! This trail is a blast going down - very winding with multiple big elevation drops and several stream crossings.

The best way to complete this one is to shuttle to Lake Dorothey parking lot in Sugarite Canyon State Park. Ride up to the summit (3.5 mi) and then enjoy 10 miles of downhill. For more info read the description for the San Francisco Pass Ride.
