Description

Enjoy fantastic views both east and west as you travel the southernmost section of the Boise Ridge. Be on the lookout for motorized vehicles on this trail, especially if you're visiting in summer. Often, visitors on motorized vehicles ride too fast, but the machines are noisy enough that you'll have plenty of warning.

As you approach the northern end, be aware that there is a split at mile 6. Mountain bikers will want to continue straight along the older road bed, but the route was closed to mechanized travel due to erosion problems. The motorized road branches to the west.

Take the time to enjoy the numerous side trails and viewpoints as you go. As with the rest of the Boise Ridge, you are never far from a trail back to town. Be safe and share the trail.
