“This trail encompasses the Mission Reach, Eagleland, and King William segments of the Riverwalk.”
— Leonard Box
Much like the other Greenways throughout the city. It is totally kid and dog friendly.
No bicycles are allowed on Mission Trail north between East Nueva Street and Lexington Avenue.
Prone to flooding in several areas during periods of heavy rain.
Wending alongside the San Antonio River, through old neighborhoods and farmlands, the Mission Hike and Bike Trail provides respite from the daily pressure and grind of city life.
This portion of the San Antonio River Walk boasts over 11 linear miles of continuous trail along the river from the King William District to Mission Espada. However, bicycles are not permitted (neither ridden nor walked) through the Historic portion of the Riverwalk (Downtown).
An easy walk or ride, it is suitable for even young members of the family.
