Getting forecast...

A connector trail to get to the elongated version of The Gaunlet and some defunct trails.

Russell Hobart

Overview

Only open Sundays from September 1 through May 15. This is primarily a hunting reserve. Please respect the closure.
Features: eMTB allowed
Dogs: No Dogs

Description

This trail, as mapped out, used to be more important before the Left Loop and Right Loop trails became defunct. You can either pick up the trail as you finish Easy Street or if you take the fire road from the parking lot, watch out to the left for the start of the trail.

Stay to the left if you want the elongated trail to The Gaunlet. There are a few technical rock piles, drainage crossings and rocky sections but the trail is mostly intermediate. For most of the trail you head downhill through both forested and more open areas. You'll take a sharp right onto Howard's Connector but with the defunct trails, it's your only option.
