DuPont State Recreational Forest is a very popular multiuse, bi-directional trail system, so be on the lookout for hikers, horses, and other cyclists. It is normally open in any weather although it can close in extended periods of freeze / thaw during the winter.

Description

Sheep Mountain starts near the High Falls parking area off of Staton Road near the intersection with Buck Forest Road and ends further southwest on Staton Road. It connects to Pine Tree and Cascade near the end of the trail on Staton Road. The trail is mostly wide singletrack and overgrown fire roads that traverses a ridge along Sheep Mountain.
