Description

North Basin Trail is a seldom used remote singletrack. It offers the closest Salmon access to North Basin and trail further south from there. It also can be ridden to loop with Twelvemile Meadow Trail #101 or as an optional shuttle to Lime Creek Trail #100. It is steep...expect to hike-a-bike.

The trail climbs steeply from Meadow Connector trail through thick timber. The beginning of the trail is marked by a large rock cairn and it climbs up a ridge from there before sidehilling and leveling out.

After crossing a broad saddle, the trail drops steeply to the bottom of the Warm Springs Creek drainage and follows it to connect to the Copper and North Basin Roads at the base of Poison Peak.

The southern end of the trail has several challenging creek crossings. Moose are often seen along this remote creekside trail.
