Family Friendly An escape from traffic!

Description

This path offers an escape from the highways that make up Great Bend's main roads. The path travels in all directions and is not protected from wind, so be prepared for a challenge if you're riding into the wind on a 20 mph day. The path is paved west of Main Street and is gravel east of Main. The section that travels under Main Street is dirt; be aware if you're expecting a completely paved trail. I'm not sure about the underpasses at the two other bridges.

The entrance to the River Trail; a 20' deep ditch to practice your descent and climb skills in. There's a super smooth transition at the bottom, keep your momentum up, and you'll hardly have to pedal out!

Some of the singletrack that has turned into doubletrack from ATV use. Watch out for ATVs, mountain bikes are not exactly welcome on the trails, although the singletrack builders create most of the trail.
