Description
This purple-blazed trail starts just off the entrance road to the park and connects the day-use side of the park to the camping side. The trail starts off by following an easy educational nature trail through the woods, continues onto a brief ride on an open gravel road, and then finishes off the western section of the ride on a longer open section on the top of an earthen dam.
After the dam, the ride becomes more technical. The latter half of this ride is in dense oak/hickory forest. There are several creek crossings (a couple without a bridge) and rock gardens that can be challenging. The southern half of the trail climbs to ridge-tops and descends steeply to the creek crossings.
After 3.2 miles, the trail terminates at another Cane Creek Park trail - the southern red-blazed route. Turn around and go back for a 6.4-mile ride or connect to the Red or
Green Trail.
