Family Friendly There are a few segments that are very easy and accessible. The area by Willow and Watson Lakes are the most family friendly. Also, NFS campgrounds at Granite Mountain (Yavapai CG, and White Spar CG).

Only part of the Circle Trail is open to ebikes. All of the Circle Trail that is in the Prescott National Forest is not open to ebikes. You'll see signs occasionally reminding riders of this. There is a good portion of the trail that is outside of the national forest that is open to ebikes, however.

Overview

This is a great ride that can be done in one, two, or more days. There are many places where support and/or camping is available. This ride is largely singletrack, about 1-1.5 miles of pavement, and a little doubletrack thrown-in.

Need to Know

Park at the In-n-Out Burger on Highway 69. Ride west out of the Walmart lot and through the Dodge dealer's parking lot, past the service garage. There is a doubletrack leading from behind the Dodge service garage - go a short distance (200-300 meters) west on this doubletrack where the Circle trail crosses. There is a small sign - bear right onto the singletrack, and you're on your way!

Description

This ride can be started in any number of spots around "The Circle" and can be ridden in either direction. It is generally not very technical, just long. The most technical part of the ride is a downhill stream bed, called the Boycott Trail, at about 8-9 miles from the end.

Pick up a Prescott trail map at any of the local bike shops or use the MTB Project mobile app to help navigate. The use of a GPS is recommended if you don't know the area. There are many trail junctions, turns and intersections.
