Family Friendly Perfect place to take the kids away from traffic

Description

This flood dike path is a perfect place to take your kids and ride away from traffic. Starting at the south end, there is a short climb to the top of the dike and then you're on your way to the park in downtown Arkansas City.

The path goes by Veterans Memorial Lake which has a paved path around it. At the North end of the trail is Paris Park which boasts a skate and bike park and a public swimming pool, among several other park activities. A bald eagle nests in the woods to the west of the south end of the trail, so keep your eyes open for her!

This is a great path, a perfect opportunity to take the kids and teach them to ride away from traffic. When they get confident with their skills, you can drop down into the woods on the trail!
