Description

The Green Loop falls in-between the Red Loop and Blue Loop for technical difficulty. There are three distinct loops within this trail, allowing riders to do all or only part of the trail. There are two bailout trails accessing the common forest service road leading to other trails or the parking lot. Section 1, an easy 2 miles beginning at waypoint 400, has a short descent to a creekside wetland that works it's way back through open hardwoods. Section 2, an easy 1.5-miles, loops back through the open hardwoods then through a section of regrowth. Section 3, another 1.5-miles, is the most technical and difficult section with short but steep climbs, narrow, twisty trails and off-camber hillsides leading to a creek crossing and more flat wetlands.

A volunteer trail work party helps to construct the Green Loop. Where would we be without them?! Thanks to these future Doctors from Emory/Oxford college.
