Northside at Taos Ski Valley is a privately owned recreational trail system on Bull of the Woods and Frazer mountains. Check the website and trailhead kiosk (1/4 mile up from the gate) for permit/waiver info ridenorthside.com/

Description

While ascending Bull of the Woods Mountain, Antoine's is the segment where the high alpine environment is first noticeable. It climbs to a ridge above the Middle Fork Trail/Forest Road 487 trailhead, providing a singletrack route that bypasses a section of the Bull of the Woods Road for those who wish to stay in the forest.

The descent is awesome; continue straight where Bull of the Woods Road makes a slight left on the ridge, flow right at the junction with Al's Trail and follow Antoine's through the forest, back across Al's, and around some turns and curves in the rooty forest. Enjoy the flow and ride across the road onto Redi's Run or drop onto the road for a shorter descent to the lower trails.
