Description

Guacamole is a fun, fun trail with lots of dips, turns, and stunts. There is plenty of slickrock on this first loop. The layout of the trail is a little easier to follow as rock cairns have been put up to make navigation a little easier, but it is still easy to lose the rock cairns as they dip and weave around cool features. Most folks ride this in a clockwise direction.

Riding Guacamole, you have a great view of West Temple and Mount Kinesava in Zion National Park.

If you don't wear knee pads, this might be the best place to start for beginner/intermediate riders. Nothing hurts worse than falling over and smashing a knee on the slickrock!

A typical roll down and example of the rock mounds the trail rides on and around. Riders without skill or confidence to ride down, or up these features may be frustrated by being forced of their bike on a fairly regular basis. Short of a couple squeezes too narrow for bars/pedals, its all rideable.

I used to listen to The HooDoo Gurus in high school, and now I'm riding with them. Looking east towards Zion. The greenish mound on the left of the picture is the edge of the cinder cone. Fun ride.
