Stair Steps connects Palos Green Multitrack to Old Argonne Road. Starting from Palos Green Multitrack and heading west, Stair Steps starts as singletrack and passes an open area on the north called Plot M.

Taking Trail to Plot M will bring you to a granite monument describing what is buried there. Continuing west on Stair Steps will be a climb up wide overgrown doubletrack. A series of roots used to form a stair step trail surface, but has since eroded to its current smoother state.

At the crest of the hill will be a short downhill, also populated by plenty of roots. The trail then ends at Old Argonne Road where turning right will take you toward Turf and turning left will take you to the Old Argonne area.
