Description

This trail follows Victoria Creek from the parking lot to the rest of Victoria Lake Loop 15. This trail can be used as a bail out on the longer 15-mile loop ride or as a starting point to get into the trail system and go exploring.

The trail is very tight with shrubbery most of the way, crossing the creek several times. Most of the creek crossings can be ridden, but be aware of muddy banks, as they can be tracked out pretty badly from the cattle in the area. This trail is mostly smooth hard-pack, but there are a few rocky sections to test your skills.

Be sure to keep your head up, as the views from this trail are spectacular, despite being in the base of a canyon, especially when heading back to the start of the trail.

Be aware of recreational shooting near the trailhead, as it is a very popular area for target shooting.
