Much of the west side of the gulch has been a recent park expansion for the City of Mukilteo. The city plans to make significant changes to the area to make it more accessible to multiple user groups. As of 2015 the trails remain in a pre-development phase.

Trails are multi-use and traffic should be expected in both directions. Construction and trail maintenance require permission from City of Mukilteo. The center of the Gulch holds the BNSF train line, access to the train line is prohibited.

Description

A basic gravel doubletrack along the BNSF train line. The first part of the trail is lined by plenty of black berry bushes which eventually give way to tree cover as the trail borders the Japanese Gulch Creek.

The BNSF Trail is an easy pedal in either direction.
