Overview

This is a great way to explore some great trails in this area. Starting off on Jenni's Trail, you wind through some excellent shaded aspen groves while also getting to traverse ski runs, giving you a diverse combination of terrain. After this, on Tommy's Two Step, you get to experience some great tight switchbacks through more towering aspen trees on one of Park City's most classic trails. After making the climb up to the top of Tommy's Two Step, your efforts are rewarded with Mojave. This is a very fast, very flowy section that navigates itself first through a pine forest, then through sage brush.

The pattern continues onto Mid Mountain Trail, where there is plenty of flow built into the trail. Finally, on Crescent Mine Grade (CMG), you get to experience the diversity of Park City's foliage. You start by traversing several ski runs, ducking into pine forests in between. Then, you move into large open fields of sage brush—the views of Park City here are excellent. Finally, you make a long traverse across the mountain, through scrub oak. You finish it all off by banking through several berm turns on the way down to the base of Crescent Lift.

Description

From the base of the ski resort, head onto Silver Spur. Very soon after, take a left at the intersection of Jenni's Trail and Silver Spur to get onto Jenni's Trail. Wind your way up several switchbacks, crossing under the First Time Chairlift and the Three Kings Chairlift. Shoot through a slightly wooded section and to a doubletrack, which you'll cross. Continue climbing up Jenni's Trail for about another 100 vertical feet.

Here, you'll come to an intersection of Crescent Mine Grade CMG and Jenni's Trail, marked with a rather obvious sign. Continue straight through this intersection onto Jenni's Trail. Here, you'll parallel the Crescent Lift for some time while having an excellent view of the pine forests to your left. Keep riding on Jenni's Trail, crossing over a doubletrack, then riding into a pine grove. After some time, you'll encounter an intersection of several trails. Take a right at this intersection, continuing up Jenni's Trail.

After turning, you'll continue climbing up, encountering several switchbacks and crossing under the Payday Chairlift. After a little more than 0.5 miles, you'll come to the intersection of Loose Moose and Jenni's Trail. As with before, continue straight through the intersection onto Jenni's Trail. On this section (which lasts about 2.2 miles), you'll traverse several ski runs and cross underneath a mining tailings pile. Eventually, you'll come to a large open area where you'll see Town Lift.

From Jenni's Trail, take a sharp right onto the doubletrack. When riding up it, the building here should be on your left. Ride up this doubletrack for about 0.5 miles. You'll pass by both entrances to Mid Mid Mountain Trail. Eventually, you'll come to two trails. Ride by the first trail, whose entrance is to your right. After riding by the first trail, you'll come to a T. Take a right at the T onto Tommy's Two Step. On Tommy's Two Step, you'll wind up several tight switchbacks through some tall aspens. When you come to an intersection (which you'll do twice), continue riding on Tommy's Two Step. Eventually, Tommy's Two Step will put you onto a doubletrack. Take a left at the doubletrack ad ride up to the nearby yurt.

To the right of the yurt, there will be a small trail entrance that may be hard to notice. Connect onto this trail as it is Mojave. This trail is fast and a lot of fun. You'll first wind through a pine forest, go across a doubletrack, then stumble upon a short rock garden. After this, you'll wind through the aspens, then open up into a sage brush area that meanders across the mountain. Eventually, after a bit less than a mile, you'll cross a doubletrack, then a short bit later, come to the intersection with Mid Mountain Trail. Take a left at this intersection. Ride down this section until you come to a doubletrack. When you get here, make a sharp right towards Crescent Mine Grade (CMG).

Ride onto Crescent Mine Grade (CMG) and continue on it for about a mile. Here, you'll come to the intersection of Crescent Mine Grade CMG and Eagle. Continue going down Crescent Mine Grade CMG. Ride on this section for about 0.75 miles. Here, you'll once again come to the intersection with Jenni's Trail. This time, however, go straight across onto Crescent Mine Grade CMG. Ride down this section for about 0.5 miles, crossing a doubletrack and ducking in and out of forests.

Here, you'll come to an intersection with Loose Moose. Continue going straight through onto Crescent Mine Grade CMG (Loose Moose is downhill only here anyway). You'll go on a couple switchbacks through the forest, then go onto the ski run, where you'll bank through several berm turns and end up, finally, at the base of Crescent Chairlift once again.

Coming off of Mid Mountain, it is really easy to miss the turn off for CMG. It is a very quick and sharp right-hand turn to get from Mid Mountain (right in picture) onto CMG (left in picture).
