From the trailhead (no services or amenities) the Trace begins a slow climb alongside a small stream to gain the low ridge. Once the crest is gained, a long rolling section begins.
In this first segment of the much longer trail, a couple of valley crossings must be navigated giving you a taste of the many miles you'll be riding on your way to the southern terminus.
Lots of trees down, corners have some hanging vines. The initial climb is a bear but not technical. Overall great short ride for me today. Fun!!
