Description

Headed down Mont Chateau (S) toward the lake past the Ridge Trail intersection, is a bridge to the right across the creek. From Gunnar: "Take the bridge across the stream and it starts to go up. For the next 100 yards or so it is narrow, slimy rocks, ledges, and up. I've probably cleaned it three times in my life. Things kind of have to be perfect to clean it.

Then things widen, it's clear, and it's just a somewhat doubletrack roller going up until it finally flattens out a little before the other bridge that comes across.

It's been used in the race a couple of times, usually Expert or Sport only. It's different than going up the usual way, but it is certainly harder, even though the difficult section doesn't last very long.

Just not as satisfying a trail as the other one."

heh heh. I climbed it per the description, first bit is really gnarly, but it is a cool alternative to MC South trail to the furnace.
