Update

A fun winding loop with many small ups and downs and the occasional root and rock garden.

Overview

For every continuous inch of rain fallen, the trails should be left to dry for 24 hours.
Dogs: Leashed

Description

Ancarrow's connector trail starts at the Richmond Slave Trail under the I 95 bridge. Facing east, follow the bike-only trail to your right. The trail continues to parallel the Richmond Slave Trail on the left to the entrance to Ancarrow's Landing. Cross over the road and stay on trail to the trailhead for Ancarrow's East. This trailhead will be signed with directions based on the day of the week. It is very simple; just remember what day it is so you don't run into other riders.

There are limited bailouts as the trail meanders into multiple switchbacks. There may be small mud puddles right after heavy rain or during the winter.

Dry. Really nice upgrades by RVA more. It's now more of an intermediate single track. 2.3mi

Not real interesting going clockwise. I might try counter clockwise. — 5h 00m
