Dreaded Hill lives up to its name...if you are traveling up it. There are steep sections and short switchbacks making for a dreadful climb or blissful downhill.

You gain serious speed going downhill, so watch for the occasional ruts and turns. There is no shade for most of the trail. At the summit awaits a grand view of Whiting out to the shore and Catalina on a clear day. Many people access Dreaded Hill "from behind" via Four Corners, then traverse down it into the lower Whiting trail system.
