A challenging climb up through meadows to the top of Las Conchas peak, then down to Keddy Lake.

Taber West

Overview

Dogs: Off-leash

Description

This trail starts on the north side of the Peralta Canyon Pass and climb steadily up to the top of Las Conchas Peak. It is motorcycle created singletrack, so it can be rough in spots, but the views are great. Once on top of Las Conchas, the trail continues along a fence before reaching a cattle guard on the ridgeline. Cross the cattle guard and descend down the trail on the west side of the ridge to the upper valley and Keddy Lake.

Minor Issues 66 days ago
Fallen Trees - Overgrown and hard to follow the singletrack. Cattle and fallen trees make the first 2 miles difficult. I would recommend biking the road to the first pass. have adequate battery charge and watch your phone/map to not miss the trail. There are no trail markers of any kind.
