Description

Elk Meadows is part of a popular loop that uses some dirt roads and the Elk Mountain trail to circle around Elk Mountain near Stanley Lake. The trail starts in the trees at gentle grades.

You'll pass an old road and continue into Elk Meadows. This is a large meadow with lots of wildlife in the mornings. It can be muddy early in the season and the mosquitos can be back early in the season also.

Combining this trail and Elk Mountain Trail makes a great loop.
