From the roadside parking along
Sir Francis Drake Blvd., ride up the paved Devil's Gulch Road for about 100 yards until you see a trail on the right that follows Devil's Gulch Creek. Stay left on the road towards the horse camp. Continue straight and cross several willow covered seeps that drain into the creek. Climb almost imperceptibly through grass covered slopes and an old fruit tree grove, keeping the creek on your right. The upper reaches can get rutted and muddy due to cattle traffic. This trail is an out-and-back which eventually ends at a gate and private property, so turn back when you've had enough.
Horses allowed on this dirt road. Expect a lot of horse traffic on summer weekends.
