Frequently used access trail across the dam to start/finish a ride

Adam Linstedt

Overview

Description

This is a popular route heading out from- or back to- the parking area. On the way out it starts with a downhill section past a mud-prone area followed, after a slight left, by a rocky doubletrack ascent. Continue across a water bar and up to a flat, open area with a few mounds converted into jumps.

It then progresses to a soft left onto a dam embankment where the trail runs alongside the road on the hillside. The trail then turns right and narrows, running along a small ridgetop after which it drops across an open area and crosses a small creek. Immediately after that, there is a short ascent up the other side. From there the trail becomes a fast cruise on the nicest part of this trail (running alongside some of the resort trailer housing) to its terminus at the Race Loop trail.

Definitely not my favorite trail. Keeps you from riding on the main road. Some of the sections are fun but if you want to hit the jumps then go in ... 1.5mi
