Overview

Description

Jones Mill Run Trail is well-worn singletrack along the western topmost side of the Jones Mill Run valley. From the North end where it leaves the Lookout trail, it first descends giving an opportunity for some fun riding that involves negotiating the occasional roots, isolated rocks and muddy areas.

The ascent that follows starts with a short, steep section and then a more gradual rise. At the top, you arrive at a forest road that connects after a very short distance to Fire Tower Rd. Riding out and turning left on the road for about one quarter mile will take you to the start of the Cherry Trail descent. The Laurel Highlands trail also makes this connection but, unfortunately, it is off limits to bikes.
