As a top-notch addition to the Eagle trail system, Haymaker wins for access, flow, and sunny exposure.

Description

Professionally built to host the Colorado High School Cycling League State Championships, the Haymaker Trail incorporates everything from fast, flat lower sections to a steep, slalom-style descent. In between, you'll find several moderate climbs, rock bridges, windy berms and some fun rollers and jumps.

Bonus round: Test your skills at the adjacent BMX park before cruising into town for a cool one at Bonfire Brewing.

There is a shortcut at about 0.7 miles that connects to about the 4 mile mark. You can use it so skip the final section after you take the whole loop or you may also use this to skip the whole loop and go straight to the final uphill section and steep downhill finish. May 7, 2018

If you are a beginner rider, take the green option towards the end of the trail. The final descent is fun and fast for more advanced riders, but is loose and deteriorating with excessive braking. Aug 21, 2018
