French Creek trail begins along Highway 9 south of the 7-Eleven. The gravel trail runs due east between two subdivisions.

Pass one intersection with Corkscrew on the south side of the trail in the first 0.25 mile, then a second just west of a paved parking lot.

Ride east along the south side of the lot to the continuation of the gravel path, now paralleling the creek.

The trail has a final split at the east end with the south fork connecting to Corkscrew Drive and the north crossing a footbridge to Vista Point trail.
