Great mix of trails, easy trails through the woods and hilly sections as well.

Adopt These Trails!

Overview

With something for everyone, the trails at Balm-Boyette make a great place to ride. Start with a two-mile pedal to the main trails to access 25 miles of singletrack that traverse actual hills.

Description

A good ride is SST on the access road to warm up, Loch Ness up to Randy's Trail followed by Spider Berm (Lower) and then Upper. After that, head North to Gator Pit and Golf Cart for some flowing trails. By now you are ready for Canyon and Mt. Boyettte. If you are experienced enough, the North Abyss awaits. Work down to Sidewinder to Woods Trail. From there if your legs can handle it you can do another 10 miles on the Red Shirt Trails as you head back to the parking lot.

Looks like this ride could use some more details. If you know it, adopt the ride and add to the description.

my favorite back country spot in Florida.. Feb 3, 2016

Boyette is by far in my opinion the greatest ride near Tampa for novice and beginner to expert riders for the speeds of your class or just a casual ride to observe wildlife. Most of the beginner trails are in the shade under tree canopies too provide a somewhat cooler ride. The expert rides are also in the shade and with speed a somewhat cooling ride. SWAMP does a great job of maintaining the trails too keep them easy for everyone. Thanks !!!! Jul 29, 2016
Great trails, but sometimes they are inexplicably closed, with the gate locked. NOT A LOOP, but a bunch of connected trails. Be sure to have a map! Don't try to ride "ridgeline" unless you are a skilled rider with fully functional equipment. Exercise caution if you encounter hogs, especially if piglets are involved. Jan 22, 2018
