If you're planning a loop down Mueller Park, park at the Mueller Park trailhead (or on the street just below if full). Head west down 1800 S to the stop sign and turn left (south) onto Bountiful B. After 1.5 miles, turn left (east) on Canyon Creek Road and climb to the end of the pavement.

For an out-and-back, just park at the top of Canyon Creek Road in Bountiful.

From here, climb a steady 8% grade on doubletrack for approximately 1.5 miles. There may be some motorized traffic in spots. At this point, the trail turns into singletrack and the scenery improves dramatically. Keep climbing another two miles through thick pines with occasional open meadows to Rudy's Flat. If you find yourself on any sustained downhills, you've gone past Rudy's Flat and are now descending Mueller Park trail.
