Fast singletrack in Carolina North Forest.

Joe Rana

Overview

Closed when wet.
This is one of the more popular trails in the Carolina North Forest. Particularly the first section of the trail. It has some straighter areas that allow you to get some good speed.
Features: -none-

Need to Know

The official trail dumps out onto the Seawell School Rd. This route takes a short diversion to take you back to the Vine at the South entrance. Several trails cross along the way.

Description

This is fast singletrack. Some initial long a fairly straight sections allow for some speed. Once you go past the 3 humps, the trail starts to wind more. It's cleaner track than some others in the area, with fewer roots and rocks.

The bottom part of the track does narrow and will have more growth in the way. When you get near he end of the trail, take the path to the left which will take you back to the The Vine to avoid having to ride in the road.

Not bad. Lots of rocks and roots that are fun to get through. Not very fast and not a lot of flow though 7mi

Good for beginners. Well maintained, but very rooty. Personal preference of liking a route where it it's a loop, this park is relatively flat, with some nice maintained technical obstacles, hills, and bridges, but the route is like an inner loop (outer loop with switchbacks, and you feel like you're doing in a circle) a little bit. The elevation isn't varied. Jun 25, 2017
