This trail is a great way to finish off the Just Outstanding downhill trail. The route is outstanding singletrack with spectacular views of the Kern Valley and Lake Isabella. This route is truly a classic for the area!


Just under a mile after the intersection of Waggy Ridge Rd. and Sawmill Rd, on Just Oustanding, turn right onto the Granite Trail. Follow this approximately one mile as it traverses around a knoll, and then drops through granite slabs (a couple variations here) down to French Gulch.

After crossing the creek, the trail steeply ascends the hillside up to Wall Street Trail on the ridge (this uphill section is bikeable for strong climbers with lighter bikes, or it is about a 5-10 minute hike-a-bike). Once on the ridge, turn right and keep pedaling 0.8 miles up until you see the Dutch Flat Trail (on the left), which descends the other side of the ridge into Keyesville.

The trail finishes off at the Keyesville Rd. staging area. A shuttle is recommended.
