Description

Starting from the Penitentiary parking lot, a moderate climb brings you to Castle Rock, where you can take in excellent views of the city. From there, a short and moderately technical descent brings you down to the flat portion of the trail which takes you back to where you started, at the Penitentiary.

This trail combines well with the Table Rock trails, and can also be used to link Table Rock to the Military Reserve trail system with a minimum of asphalt riding by cutting through the neighborhood to the north.
