Description

An eight-mile trail that loops around Erwin Park. The singletrack travels through a pretty even mix of woods and open fields and the surface is comprised of a firm dirt with a loose powdery top. While under the trees there are some rocks and roots to negotiate. However, the trail smoothes out nicely when rolling across the meadows. All the small ups and downs have a way of sneaking up on you, so don't be surprised if you get some leg burn during your ride.

There are a few man-made improvements such as bridges and rocks implemented to improve traction on descents and through the mud. About three-quarters of the way through the trail, there is a moderately fast open descent with a one to two-foot drop. It's not intimidating if you keep rolling and commit and the landing is clear and easy.
